Video tools / practical guide
Keep a selected time range from your clip and export it as a new WebM recording.
A practical starting example
A WebM excerpt from the beginning of a local demonstration.
Keep a selected time range from your clip and export it as a new WebM recording.
Use this as a small trial before applying the operation to your real input. A sample illustrates the workflow; it does not promise a specific result for every source file or device.
How to use Trim video to WebM
- Choose the appropriate input file. General limits are 30 MB per file and 100 MB total.
- Review the options before running: Start time (seconds): 0 · End time (seconds): 2 · Width: 640 · Video bitrate (bits/second): 1500000
- Inspect the preview or result. Use the application’s copy or download option when it is available.
Prepare the input
Choose an input matching video/*. Review the tool’s file-size limits before selecting a large batch.
Review the available controls
| Control | Starting value | Review before processing |
|---|---|---|
| Start time (seconds) | 0 | Check this against your intended trim video to webm result. |
| End time (seconds) | 2 | Check this against your intended trim video to webm result. |
| Width | 640 | Check this against your intended trim video to webm result. |
| Video bitrate (bits/second) | 1500000 | Check this against your intended trim video to webm result. |
How to decide whether the result is useful
Set start before end and keep the requested segment inside the source duration. Watch the first and last frames in the exported clip. The recording takes real time.
- Compare the output with the unchanged source.
- Check the destination requirement before copying, downloading or uploading it.
- Open the downloaded file in the receiving application and check its actual type, size and contents.
- Use a second representative sample if the first does not cover the difficult part of your input.
Limitations and troubleshooting
Re-records the selected clip as WebM in real time. Audio depends on browser capture support.
If the output does not match your intention
Return to the original copy, review the selected input and controls, and repeat with a smaller sample. If the embedded view is unavailable, use the direct tool link at the top of this page. Browser support and device memory can affect file-based workflows.
Questions about this tool
Can I keep the original MP4 container?
This version exports WebM rather than cutting the original container without re-encoding. Browser capture can also affect sound availability.
Can I use the tool from this guide?
The main button opens the working tool on its Tabaix subdomain. An optional embedded view may be added to this guide; the direct link remains available for larger screens, downloads or browser compatibility.
What should I keep before changing the input?
Keep an unchanged source and record any controls you chose. That gives you a comparison point and lets you repeat the task without replacing your original.
