Create a small, silent animated GIF from a few seconds of your source video.
Use this as a small trial before applying the operation to your real input. A sample illustrates the workflow; it does not promise a specific result for every source file or device.
How to use Video clip to GIF
- Choose the appropriate input file. General limits are 30 MB per file and 100 MB total.
- Review the options before running: Start time (seconds): 0 · End time (seconds): 2 · Width: 320 · Frames per second: 5
- Inspect the preview or result. Use the application’s copy or download option when it is available.
Prepare the input
Choose an input matching video/*. Review the tool’s file-size limits before selecting a large batch.
Review the available controls
| Control | Starting value | Review before processing |
|---|---|---|
| Start time (seconds) | 0 | Check this against your intended video clip to gif result. |
| End time (seconds) | 2 | Check this against your intended video clip to gif result. |
| Width | 320 | Check this against your intended video clip to gif result. |
| Frames per second | 5 | Check this against your intended video clip to gif result. |
How to decide whether the result is useful
Keep the segment short and choose modest width and frame rate. Review the loop seam. This version limits a GIF to five seconds and 25 frames.
- Compare the output with the unchanged source.
- Check the destination requirement before copying, downloading or uploading it.
- Open the downloaded file in the receiving application and check its actual type, size and contents.
- Use a second representative sample if the first does not cover the difficult part of your input.
Limitations and troubleshooting
Silent GIF, maximum 5 seconds and 25 frames.
If the output does not match your intention
Return to the original copy, review the selected input and controls, and repeat with a smaller sample. If the embedded view is unavailable, use the direct tool link at the top of this page. Browser support and device memory can affect file-based workflows.
Questions about this tool
Why is the GIF larger than my video?
GIF stores frames with a limited colour palette and lacks modern video compression. Shorter clips, fewer frames and smaller dimensions can help; GIF always has no audio.
Can I use the tool from this guide?
The main button opens the working tool on its Tabaix subdomain. An optional embedded view may be added to this guide; the direct link remains available for larger screens, downloads or browser compatibility.
What should I keep before changing the input?
Keep an unchanged source and record any controls you chose. That gives you a comparison point and lets you repeat the task without replacing your original.
