Image tools / practical guide
Resize product photos to exact pixels with padding, cropping or stretching.
A practical starting example
Make a square product image without stretching it
For a 2400 × 1600 photo and a 1200 × 1200 output, contain scales the full photo to 1200 × 800 with padding. Cover fills the square and crops the side edges. Stretch changes the product proportions. Inspect framing before applying your choice to a batch.
Use this as a small trial before applying the operation to your real input. A sample illustrates the workflow; it does not promise a specific result for every source file or device.
How to use Image Resizer
- Prepare a copy of the input. Supported inputs: JPG, PNG, WebP.
- Choose the operation and review the controls below before running the sample.
- Run the tool, then inspect the new output before using it.
Prepare the input
Use the controls described in the application. Supported inputs: JPG, PNG, WebP.
Supported input and output scope: JPG, PNG, WebP
Review the available controls
Set the output width and height, then choose contain, cover or stretch. Review the background colour for padding and the output format. Contain preserves the full photo; cover can crop its edges.
How to decide whether the result is useful
Contain preserves the full image with padding. Cover fills the canvas and may crop the edges. Stretch changes the proportions.
- Compare the output with the unchanged source.
- Check the destination requirement before copying, downloading or uploading it.
- Open the downloaded file in the receiving application and check its actual type, size and contents.
- Use a second representative sample if the first does not cover the difficult part of your input.
Limitations and troubleshooting
Maximum 16,000 pixels per side and 40 million output pixels. JPG outputs use a solid background for transparent areas.
If the output does not match your intention
Return to the original copy, review the selected input and controls, and repeat with a smaller sample. If the embedded view is unavailable, use the direct tool link at the top of this page. Browser support and device memory can affect file-based workflows.
Questions about this tool
What should I check first?
Contain preserves the full image with padding. Cover fills the canvas and may crop the edges. Stretch changes the proportions.
Can I use the tool from this guide?
The main button opens the working tool on its Tabaix subdomain. An optional embedded view may be added to this guide; the direct link remains available for larger screens, downloads or browser compatibility.
What should I keep before changing the input?
Keep an unchanged source and record any controls you chose. That gives you a comparison point and lets you repeat the task without replacing your original.
