Image tools / practical guide
Convert supported iPhone HEIC still photos to JPG locally, with batch ZIP export.
A practical starting example
Export a supported phone still photo
Start with one HEIC still image before selecting a batch. Check orientation, colours and the exported JPG. A multi-image HEIF container exports the first decoded still image in this version; the result does not recreate a Live Photo. Metadata is not retained.
Use this as a small trial before applying the operation to your real input. A sample illustrates the workflow; it does not promise a specific result for every source file or device.
How to use HEIC to JPG
- Prepare a copy of the input. Supported inputs: HEIC, HEIF.
- Choose the operation and review the controls below before running the sample.
- Run the tool, then inspect the new output before using it.
Prepare the input
Use the controls described in the application. Supported inputs: HEIC, HEIF.
Supported input and output scope: HEIC, HEIF
Review the available controls
Review the JPG quality setting. Test one supported HEIC or HEIF input first; successful decoding of one container does not establish support for every phone export or multi-image variant.
How to decide whether the result is useful
The decoder loads only when needed. Complex HEIF collections and unsupported codec variants can fail; try a single still photo first.
- Compare the output with the unchanged source.
- Check the destination requirement before copying, downloading or uploading it.
- Open the downloaded file in the receiving application and check its actual type, size and contents.
- Use a second representative sample if the first does not cover the difficult part of your input.
Limitations and troubleshooting
Metadata is not retained. For multi-image containers this version exports the first decoded still image, not a Live Photo or animation.
If the output does not match your intention
Return to the original copy, review the selected input and controls, and repeat with a smaller sample. If the embedded view is unavailable, use the direct tool link at the top of this page. Browser support and device memory can affect file-based workflows.
Questions about this tool
What should I check first?
The decoder loads only when needed. Complex HEIF collections and unsupported codec variants can fail; try a single still photo first.
Can I use the tool from this guide?
The main button opens the working tool on its Tabaix subdomain. An optional embedded view may be added to this guide; the direct link remains available for larger screens, downloads or browser compatibility.
What should I keep before changing the input?
Keep an unchanged source and record any controls you chose. That gives you a comparison point and lets you repeat the task without replacing your original.
